Program Overview
This course provides students with a rich, performance-based ensemble experience designed to develop strong musicianship, discipline, and confidence. Open to students with music-reading proficiency who successfully complete an audition with the director, the ensemble emphasizes artistic excellence through regular performances, community engagement, and festival participation.
Performance & Community Engagement
Students gain extensive real-world performance experience both within the school and beyond.

Expectations & Commitment
Participation in this ensemble requires a high level of responsibility and dedication.

Attend and perform at all scheduled concerts and approved engagements

Commit to rehearsal, practice, and preparation outside of class

Meet established deadlines for memorization and performance readiness

Pass assigned repertoire with sectional leaders or the director

Sectional leaders must demonstrate mastery by passing music to the director

All required musical materials are provided by the director
Love to Sing? Audition for the Cass Tech Harp & Vocal Ensemble
Students who enjoy singing and are ready for a high-level ensemble experience are encouraged to audition for the Cass Tech Harp & Vocal Ensemble. Auditions are open to students of all musical styles and backgrounds.
