Through my music and social work scholarships at Wayne State and projects at Cass Tech and the Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation, I strive to uplift and strengthen our Detroit community. My music scholarships support the importance of having music in our lives as it’s our human connection. Students who major in music have a wonderful opportunity to enrich our community by creating spaces where people come together to feel connected and inspired. At the same time, my social work scholarships help develop professionals who focus  on supporting families in need by helping to bridge gaps and promote equity through mentorship programs, resource drives, and community outreach. By weaving music and service together, I’m committed to building a more connected, compassionate, and vibrant community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
